An IPSOS survey (commissioned by the renewable energy federations ODE, EDORA and BOP) shows that almost seven out of every ten Belgians has a preference for the use of renewable sources of energy to meet the country’s present and future requirements for energy production.

There are different reasons for the preference for this method of energy production: local production, lower cost, and no harmful waste or CO2 emissions. 85% of Belgians indicated that they believe that wind energy will make a major contribution to Belgian electricity supply in the future.
