The World Wide Fund For Nature (WFF) recently released the study ‘Blowing in the wind’, which provides an overview of the current onshore and offshore wind energy situation and projects for 2030 in Europe.

According to WWF, Belgium’s 2023 ambitions in the field of wind energy are in line with the Paris Agreement Compatible (PAC) scenarios, thanks to its offshore wind energy.

Belgium received good points, but this does not mean that we are sitting still. WWF indicates that ambitions regarding renewable energy must be increased and further development of additional offshore wind farms can certainly contribute to this.
